At korr, we see furniture as having the most intimate relation to the body within the built environment.

We sit, work, sleep, eat, play and heal in furniture every day. We place things in and on it so we can access them later. Meanwhile, the ergonomics of furniture, including comfort levels and how we engage with it, can invite a sense of belonging for our bodies, wherever and whoever we are.

There is always going to be a difficult relationship between Indigenous reconciliation and the reliance of contemporary mainstream culture on the supply of commodities. We understand that the path towards reconciliation is much more complex than what we can do independently at Korr. However, we are committed to doing whatever we can to advance reconciliation – both through design that respects and honours communities, and also through other forms of advocacy and economic reconciliation. We are committed to supporting scholarships. We are also committed to hiring Indigenous employees as we grow. Thus, when you select Korr for your FFE needs, you are not only supporting us as an Indigenous-owned company, but we will continue to build Indigenous capacity through our company’s networking moving forward.

We not only supply furniture for your project, at the basic level, we also ensure that the furniture is laid out for you in a way that compliments the overall vision for the project. Given that korr has a broad range of architects and designers built into our team structure, we can provide input at all levels of design, from the chair at your desk to the entire architectural concept. We are also happy to work with your architectural team to ensure that the vision is consistent with what they have in mind. We work collaboratively in multiple ways to ensure your project meets the highest of design standards while capturing the cultural aspirations for the life of the space.

korr has a commitment to pursuing product lines that are consciously aware of the detrimental impact of industrial production on Mother Earth. While for any large project, budget will play an essential role, we will continue to work with manufacturers who are ensuring their products are built and delivered in the most environmentally sensitive way possible. Sustainability is an essential value of our team and we will continue to push for products that embody this moving forward.
